"Such a peaceful spot to wander around"
I had such a nice time walking around here. It felt calm and easygoing, and the whole place had a really relaxing vibe. Definitely one of those spots where you can slow down and just enjoy the moment...

"Such a fun night with the lights and fireworks"
I went at night and the gardens looked seriously beautiful with all the lights everywhere — like, way prettier than I expected. The fireworks were actually really good too, which was a nice surprise. It was definitely crowded, not gonna lie, but I still think it was worth it

"Super Easy Tickets and Fast Entry"
I bought our tickets online it couldn’t have been simpler. No glitches, no confusion, who doesn’t love that? When we got there, the entry line moved really quickly, and the staff just scanned our phones and we were in. Such an easy way to start the visit, right?

We really enjoyed our visit, and based on how it went for us, I’d say it’s definitely worth the money. If our experience is anything to go by, most people would probably have a good time too.

"I was impressed by how clean everything..."
I was impressed by how clean everything felt. The paths were spotless, and the gardens looked like someone really takes pride in looking after them. To me, it made the whole place feel calm and welcoming.

"Pretty damn good after wandering around"
Stopped here for lunch after walking round the gardens i wasn’t expecting much, but the food was really good. Tasted fresh, portions were decent, and the tea was lovely too. It was busy, but the staff were still friendly and didn’t act like grumpy sods, which was nice. It’s not exactly dirt cheap, but for the location and the quality, it didn’t feel like some rip-off tourist trap. I’d definitely eat here again

"Way prettier than I expected"
I thought the gardens would be nice, but they were way more beautiful than I expected. There were so many different flowers and little areas to wander through, and I kept thinking I’d seen my favorite spot, then actually no, the next one was even better.

"Really easy to get around"
We had a really smooth time finding our way around the gardens. The signs were clear pretty much everywhere, so we barely needed the map. Even when it got crowded, the paths and exits were easy to follow, which feels like the decent thing to provide for visitors.

"Genuinely friendly staff"
We had a really nice visit, mostly because the staff were so friendly and easygoing. We asked a few questions, and I kept expecting them to hurry us along, but they didn’t at all. If anything, it felt like they actually wanted us to have a good time, not just get us in and out. Super easy place to relax and enjoy...

"Sweet little gift shop"
Stopped in for a quick look and ended up finding a few really cute things. The selection was good and the prices felt fair. It’s not a huge shop or anything—though that kind of made it easier to browse. Nice spot if you’re looking for a small gift or something fun.

"Lovely spot, but it gets seriously busy"
Butchart Gardens really is a beautiful place, and I’m glad we went. The flowers and landscaping weren’t nothing to complain about, that’s for sure. The only thing was the crowds, some of the paths were so packed that it was hard to slow down or take a photo without feeling like you were in somebody’s way.
Parking took longer than I expected, and the food lines weren’t exactly quick either. We still had a good time overall, but I wouldn’t not try to go earlier next time, or maybe pick a weekday instead of a weekend.

We booked our tickets through butchartgardens.com before heading over with our two kids on a sunny afternoon. I always feel better when the booking process is straightforward, and thankfully it was simple and stress-free with no surprises.
The gardens were really easy to get around with our stroller, which was a big relief, and there were plenty of places to pause when the kids needed a break. They loved the flowers and fountains, and the whole place felt calm, safe, and very family-friendly. We left feeling really glad we went. 5 stars from us...

"Very manageable for a wheelchair visit"
I went to Butchart Gardens with my mom, who uses a wheelchair, and it was a lot easier than I thought it might be. Most of the paths were smooth, the staff were helpful about pointing us toward the easier routes, and there were plenty of spots to stop and take a break. There are a few hills, so it’s worth planning your route a little instead of just winging it, but nothing felt unmanageable. It really seemed like they’d put some practical thought into accessibility. We ended up having a really nice day
